Father’s Day Gift Idea

Treat your Dad to a Bartending Class

Father’s Day is coming up quick. Usually there is a bit of a scramble the week beforehand to find something suitable as a gift for Dad. Mother’s Day is always good for brunch. With Father’s Day only a month afterwards, you can’t do the same thing again. You know he already has a wallet or new smartwatch from last year. There are only so many gift cards to Home Depot you can give before the sincerity seems to wear off. Why not do something different with him this year.

fathers day vancouverVancouver is full of all kinds of activities. Your father might be into cooking, but if anything like our dad’s he would be happy to just kick back and enjoy a couple of beers. Sure, that works for an afternoon, but it isn’t different from pretty much any other Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Where and When?

We have our Introduction to Bartending class happening on Saturday June 22nd. Yes, that’s a full 6 days after Father’s Day but also just enough time to build up some excitement for some quality time with your dad. During this class we outline bartending essentials. A few tips and tricks on how to make up some different classic cocktails plus what to watch for from your bartender preparing those manly drinks. Cocktails aren’t just for the ladies, and don’t have to be sugary sweet.

vancouver fathers dayWe will be running our Intro to Bartending class from 6-9PM on the Saturday. We are located downtown on Pender Street, between Richards and Homer. Grab a bite to eat beforehand and join us for some hands-on practice making variations of a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
