Online WSET Level 1 Award in Spirits
From the comfort of your own home, you can now learn about spirits online. Fine Art Bartending is an Approved Program Provider for WSET’s Level 1 and Level 2 Awards in Spirits, and we also do in person classes of the Level 1 Spirits. Online WSET classes in spirits are an easy way to add some spirits knowledge. Popping into our classroom for a two-day spirits course is sometimes the better way to go. Regardless of how you do it, adding another well respected certificate to your bartending certification is always a great idea.
Earn your WSET Spirits Certificate Online
This is a 5 module program. Each module covers the basic concepts of creating spirits and should take about 6 hours in total to complete. WSET has a very clear specification of the goals for this online course. The modules should be completed in order so that knowledge gained from the previous module can be strengthened and built upon. You will have 4 weeks to complete the programme and educator support available for the duration.
Online Level 1 Award in Spirits Summary
- Duration – 4 weeks online guided study split into 5 modules including revision.
- Course activities – tasting area, multiple choice feedback tests, discussions and videos.
- Modules – students are free to complete the modules at their own pace during this 4-week window.
- Educator – support for 4 weeks.
- Materials – included in the online course. Students don’t need a physical textbook.
- Student access – students have access for 1 year which includes the scheduled 4 weeks of guided study. Please note that students have read-only access after the course finish date.
What You Will Need for your Online WSET Class
For any online class, students will need access to a device which they can view the material on while connected to the internet. A desktop computer is the best option. For the best learning experience, that device also should have
- high speed internet connection (no dial up)
- HTML5 compatible browser, with Javascript & cookies enabled
- PDF viewer (Adobe Reader XI or suitable alternative)

WSET has developed the means to ensure your exam can be taken remotely as long as you have the necessary equipment.
